The 8 Pitfalls of Accounts Payable Automation

8Pitfalls CoverThe message in the early days was attempting to convince people who the Internet was a safe place. More recently it has been helping to justify the investment. What does the
future hold? That’s a difficult question. The only thing for sure is AP Automation is here to stay, and I get very little argument that it will not be the way companies manage their AP process in the future.

That is why I wrote The 8 Pitfalls of Accounts Payable Automation; to make the transition to the future less risky. In all of the hundreds of conversations with AP departments there is a lot of fear of leaving a “known” and “trusted” process for the new kid on the block. Between 2000 and 2006 I personally managed 89 AP Automation projects. With that experience I was able to identify 8 areas where my clients had trouble. Some did better than others, but if the 8 areas were not addressed they all were in trouble.

Read the book… Take the advice… And stay out of the PIT!
